ISASAHE institutional accreditation checks and approves the quality of the organisational management, mission, policies and procedure, relationship with stakeholders and educational programs in the Adult & Higher Education Institution. This voluntary process involves a detailed review to make sure the Adult & Higher Education Institution meets the International Swiss Accreditation Services for Adult & Higher Education (ISASAHE) standards.
International Swiss Accreditation Services for Adult & Higher Education (ISASAHE) institutional accreditation process includes a self-assessment by the institution, followed by a review by ISASAHE Accreditation Board. The Accreditation Board evaluates the adult and higher education institution against the International Swiss Accreditation Services for Adult & Higher Education (ISASAHE) standards.
Organisational Structure
The organizational structure should be efficient and responsive to the needs of both students and stakeholders.
Statement of Mission
The Adult & Higher Education Institution must have a clear and effective mission statement that encapsulates the institution’s aims and objectives, and is accessible to all students and stakeholders.
Institutional Policies and Procedures
The Adult & Higher Education Institution must have clear and established policies and procedures for academic programs, student support services, faculty and staff guidelines, and administrative operations.
Institutional Environment
The Adult & Higher Education Institution must have a clear vision of the type of environment it offers to students and stakeholders, ensuring it is supportive, inclusive, and conducive to learning and personal growth.
Management & Faculty Qualifications
The management and faculty of the Adult & Higher Education Institution should possess the necessary qualifications, expertise, and experience in their respective fields to effectively support the institute’s mission.
Study Program Structure
The study program structure should be comprehensive, effective and meets the needs of students and stakeholders.
Study Program Learning Objectives
The study program should have clearly stated learning objectives, outlining the knowledge, skills and competencies students will acquire during the study program. The learning objectives should be aligned with current needs and trends of the respective industries.
Curriculum
The study program curriculum should be aligned with industry standards, incorporating theoretical knowledge and practical hands-on learning.
Faculty Qualifications
The Adult & Higher Education Institution’s faculty should have relevant qualifications, expertise and experience in their respective fields. ISASAHE recommends maintaining a balance between experienced faculty and industry experts to provide a diverse and enriched learning environment.
Note: Faculty should possess a degree higher than the degree program in which they are teaching unless it can be demonstrated that there is proper professional experience at the graduate level.
Course and Faculty Evaluations
The Adult & Higher Education Institution must collect feedback from students about their courses, and students should evaluate the faculty teaching those courses.
Step 1: Submit the Membership & Eligibility Application Form
The Adult & Higher Education Institution must submit the online membership & instution accreditation eligibility application form to gauge eligibility. Once Accredited Institution status is achieved the Adult & Higher Education Institution may proceed with further accreditation.
Step 2: Review ISASAHE Criteria for Institutional Accreditation
These criteria serve as a guide throughout the institutional accreditation process.
Step 3: Prepare the Self-Assessment Report Form for Institutional Accreditation
Complete the required sections of the self-assessment report form and provide detailed information on how the institution meets each institutional accreditation criteria. Include supporting documents, such as institution organisational chart, mission statement, strategic plan, policies and procedures, management and faculty CVs/resumes, study program structure and learning outcomes, curriculum, faculty qualifications and course and faculty evaluations.
Step 4: Submit the Self-Assessment Report Form for the Institutional Accreditation to the Accreditation Board.
ISASAHE Accreditation Board will review the institutional accreditation self-assessment form. After the review the Accreditation Board will either grant accreditation or may ask the Adult & Higher Education Institution to update the self-assessment report form or provide more documents and resubmit.
Step 5: Receive Institution Accreditation Outcome.
The Adult & Higher Education Institution will receive a letter with the outcome of the accreditation.


If your Adult & Higher Education Institution hasn’t applied for membership and institution accreditation eligibility, please fill in and submit the membership & institution accreditation eligibility application form.
After submitting the Membership & Institution Accreditation Eligibility Application Form, please send a copy of the certificate of incorporation / registration document and any other document showing that the institution is legally allowed to offer academic or vocational training in the country they are registered in to accreditation@isasahe.org
Upon receiving Accredited Institution status the Adult & Higher Education Institution may apply for institutional accreditation by sending the institutional accreditation self-assessment report form and any required documents to accreditation@isasahe.org
